Badlands National Park

May 30th - June 1st, 2019:

The first leg of our ten day Graduation Road Trip took us to Denver, Colorado and the Badlands National Park in South Dakota. We spent the night of May 30th in Denver, enjoying some time at the Viewhouse Pub outside of Coors Field. On the morning of the 31s, we hopped in our Suburu rental made the 6 hour drive north to South Dakota. We spent a sunny day driving around the park and enjoyed a nice hike along the Door Trail. After a quick pitstop in Wall, South Dakota at the famous Wall Drug Store, we made our way West to see Mt. Rushmore National Monument. Following a quick beverage at BarLees in Keystone, we spent the evening in the Black Hills National Forrest at Grizzly Creek campground. On the morning of June 1st, we set out for Yellowstone.
